Illustrated toy car play mats
Forest Track play mats
Woodland routes for imaginative off-road journeys.
Made to encourage a child to use their own toy cars and their own imagination. Our designs are created with 1:64 scale toy cars in mind.
An idea for the first journey
A rescue call beyond the trees, a picnic stop, or a race along the winding road: the child decides.
Before you order
Measure your play space and check the live Contrado listing for sizes, materials, age guidance, care, delivery and current prices. Toy cars are not included unless a listing specifically says otherwise.
Who might enjoy a forest track?
This theme suits a child who enjoys exploring routes more than counting laps. Invite them to choose a starting point, drive into the woods and tell you what their car finds. The illustrated trees, rocks and roads give the story a setting without setting the rules.
Play idea: the lost picnic
A car has to deliver a picnic across the forest. Which road should it take? What does the driver do if a turning is blocked? A second player can add a new destination.
Using Hot Wheels sized cars? Read our 1:64 toy car play mat guide before choosing a design.
